Sun Smooched

Soaking up sun is super good for you, it's a great source of vitamin D and studies show that receiving sun can affect your mood making you all chirpy and mellow. (Not me, I have that effect with grey days!) Last week I spent a week in a salty paradise, Roatán and it was all fun under the sun until it was not. Sun exposure can also be really harmful for your skin; making it age faster, it can produce spots and freckles and even making you develop certain kinds of cancer. My recent play-date with the sun left me with a serious case of sunburn, it wasn't a kiss it was a heavy smooch session. Luckily, I know this remedy that works wonders! It eases the pain, reduces redness and will help your skin soak up some much needed moisture.

Here's what you'll need:
  • 1/4 cup apple vinegar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • ice cubes
  • towel or cloth
  • large bowl
*If you want to prepare more, feel free to do so! Just make sure the water-vinegar ratio is 3 to 1.

How-to:

Pour in the vinegar and water into the bowl, then add the ice. Stir everything, soak the cloth in the mixture. Apply to the smooched areas until the cloth feels warm. Repeat until you feel refreshed. For better results you can do this three or four times per day until your skin feels better.

Leave me a comment if you have any questions and let me know if this worked for you!
