Butt-Ons

Last week my Mom took me to one of her favorite thrifting stores and behind one of the counters I found little gems in vibrant red, green and golden. Clip-ons! I thought. I had the lady pull them out for me and to my surprise they weren't clip-on earrings but buttons! I was instantly inspired, I would turn these lovely buttons into vintage clip-ons!

Here's what I used: a pair of buttons, a pair of clip-on earring backs, super strong adhesive (epoxy or Super Glue), sand paper and pliers.

Step 1: Using the pliers cut the shanks off the buttons, trying to get as close to the base as possible.

Step 2: Sand the remaining of the shanks until smooth.

Step 3: Attach the clip-ons to the backs using the adhesive and wait for them to dry completely.

And you're done! It really is as easy as 1, 2, 3! They're so easy to make that I got a little carried away and made a bunch!
